In June 2018, Syrian sculptor Aboud Fares presented Faces a solo exhibition at Keeni Kessler Gallery in Penang, Malaysia.
Faces brought together a body of sculptural work centered around human facial forms — abstracted, evocative, and expressive. Rather than literal portraiture, these works engage with the emotive, symbolic, and psychological qualities of the face how expression, structure, and abstraction can communicate identity, mood, and presence in sculptural medium.
